Telephone squad unveils Vuelta al País Vasco roster, will try to keep improving their team time trial performances with two specific training sessiones in the Circuito de Navarra raceway

After superb performances in the fourth of five competitive weekends in this busy month of March, the Movistar Team keep preparing themselves for the most important races of the season and will do three team training sessiones this week in the build-up for the Vuelta al País Vasco and the team time trials included in all Giro, Tour and Vuelta routes.

Beñat Intxausti, Jonathan Castroviejo and Juanjo Cobo will recon the finale of stage five in the Vuelta al País Vasco tomorrow, the race finishing in Beasain with an individual time trial over the same route around the Gipuzkoa town. The three Blue riders will be joined by DS Chente García Acosta on the team car. Together with Intxausti, Castroviejo and Cobo, Lastras, Madrazo, Javi Moreno, José Herrada and Rui Costa will form the expected 8-man roster of Eusebio Unzué’s squad for the Basque stagerace, which starts on April 1st in Elgoibar.

In turn, a majority of the team will gather on Navarran soil on Thursday and Friday for two training sessiones in order to prepare the team time trials they will tackle in all three grand tours. The speciality has been offering big satisfactions to the telephone squad lately, with a win in the 2012 Vuelta a España followed by a 5th place in last year’s Worlds in Valkenburg and the recent 2nd spot in the Tirreno-Adriatico’s opening TTT.
