The Klasika Primavera and 'L'Enfer du Nord' put double end to Movistar Team's efforts in the beginning of April after the Vuelta al País Vasco

Less than 24 hours after the ‘Itzulia’ comes to an end in Beasain this Saturday, Movistar Team will close the big week in Basque cycling tomorrow with the 59th edition of the Klasika Primavera de Amorebieta. For the race in Biscay, held over the traditional, 171-kilometer parcours with three climbs of the Muniketa and Autzagane hills, the telephone squad will bring a ten-man group led by local hero Beñat Intxausti. Joining him, and looking forward to repeat the one-two obtained in 2012 by Visconti and Valverde –who will be missing the race as a mild flu rules out his participation in the build-up to the Ardennes classics-, will be Jonathan Castroviejo, Juanjo Cobo, Rui Costa, José Herrada, Pablo Lastras, Ángel Madrazo, Javi Moreno, Argiro Ospina and Enrique Sanz, with Chente García Acosta as sports director.

In turn, the cobbled classics ‘tournée’ in northern Europe will end for the telephone squad in the 111th Paris-Roubaix, with almost 53 kilometers over pavé (for a total 254k) in the mythical route between Compiègne and the Velodrome. At the ‘Hell of the North’, José Luis Jaimerena will direct an eight-man group that already reconnoited the key points of the route on Friday morning: Imanol Erviti, José Joaquín Rojas, Fran Ventoso, Alex Dowsett, Jesús Herrada, Iván Gutiérrez, Eloy Teruel and Giovanni Visconti.
