Spanish rider -World's No. 1- & Eusebio Unzué's squad, winner of the UCI WorldTour teams' classification, set to receive prizes from Brian Cookson at Distrito Telefónica on Monday
It’s time to be officially recognized after another season full of magnificent exploits. A Movistar Team delegation led by General Manager Eusebio Unzué and world’s number one Alejandro Valverde will head into Madrid’s Distrito Telefónica, their title sponsor’s headquarters, on Monday to receive the individual and team prizes of the 2014 UCI WorldTour.
The gala, which will sport full Spanish disguise as the RFEC takes the trophy for the best nation, will be attended by Brian Cookson -president of the Union Cycliste Internationale, already in charge of handing out the Movistar Team their prize in 2013- and Miguel Cardenal, Spain’s Secretary of State for Sport.
