The #PerfectHour

Alex Dowsett continues training in Manchester's National Cycling Centre velodrome before Saturday's UCI Hour Record attempt

As the much anticipated May 2nd date approaches, Alex Dowsett and the Movistar Team keep gaining confidence on their chances to beat the UCI Hour Record.

The Essex-born cyclist spent the last two days training on the National Cycling Centre -a two-hour session on Tuesday evening, followed by more than 60 minutes on Wednesday morning-, testing himself on stints which have been gradually increasing its length to recreate more precisely what Dowsett will have to go through on Saturday. Minor setups on both the Canyon Speedmax WHR, the special skinsuit from Endura and improvements from partners Power2Max and Campagnolo have also been tried.

England’s national rugby union team captain Chris Robshow was the latest addition to the atendees list, with journalists from inside and outside the UK still applying for accreditations to this event. An official pre-event press conference will be held tomorrow at noon at the event’s official headquarters and hotel, the Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa.

Tickets for The #PerfectHour can be bought on See Tickets. Informations on wind tunnel testing and more details on the attempt are also available.
