Eneco Tour (st. 5)

Pouring rain conditions first 'mini-classic' in Eneco Tour, as courageous two-man breakaway led by Le Bon (FDJ) makes it to finish

Wilco Kelderman (TLJ) is the new leader of the 2015 Eneco Tour after a spectacular first hilly stage in the region of Limburg, over more than 20 climbs and a difficult final circuit in Sittard-Geleen, as rain and narrow roads gave wings to stage winner Johan Le Bon (FDJ), part of a two-man breakaway also featuring Dylan Van Baarle (TCG).

Despite keeping the attention into most of the ascents, Adriano Malori -3rd overall after his good time trial on Thursday- couldn't still keep the pace of a strung-out group which José Joaquín Rojas, contesting a spot for the Vuelta a España, was able to stick. The Spaniard finished in 12th place, 27" back.

The race of the Low Countries will tackle tomorrow some of the hills in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, fifteen in total for 209km ending at Houffalize.
