Fourth signing

Spaniard back home -two years at Caisse d'Epargne- to offer world-class quality to the telephone squad, more consistent than ever

The Movistar Team confirms that Dani Moreno (Madrid, ESP; 1981) has signed with Eusebio Unzué's squad for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Eleven seasons in the pro scene and twenty victories have brought the Spanish rider to the fore of WorldTour racing, most notably during the last five years he's spent within the ranks of Katusha. Moreno started his career with Relax (2005-07), later moving on towards Unzué's structure -then Caisse d'Epargne (2008-09)- and one season into the Omega Pharma-Lotto squad, all of them helping him becoming a top contender for both hilly classics and all kinds of stageraces.

Winner of the Flèche Wallonne (2013), of three stages in the Vuelta a España -which has seen him finishing in fifth (2012), ninth (twice, in 2011 and 2015) and tenth (2013) overall-, while also victor in races like Burgos, Dauphiné or Andalucía, Moreno has snatched big results in almost every terrain -he finished second two weeks ago in Il Lombardia- while also shining with consistent work for his team leaders.

Moreno is the Movistar Team's fourth addition to its roster for the 2016 season -where the Blues will defend their three consecutive UCI WorldTour titles- after Jorge Arcas (ESP, 1992), Nelson Oliveira (POR, 1989) and Carlos Betancur (COL, 1989), all of them helping the Spanish outfit to become stronger than ever in its four-decade history.
