Vuelta a España teams' presentation
Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde spoke to the media at the Balneario de Arnoia resort, where the 71st edition of the Spanish grandtour was presented before action kicks off on Saturday with a TTT towards Castrelo de Miño
Friday marks already the second day on Galician soil for the Movistar Team, awaiting the start of the 2016 Vuelta a España this evening with a 28km TTT in the land of spa resorts in northern Spain.
Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde took part yesterday in Unipublic's official Media Day, followed by the traditional teams' presentation in front of authorities and race fans. After the events, Nairo reflected thoroughly about his return to racing, and sent a message to his fans (all in Spanish).
So did Alejandro Valverde, the race's bibnumber 1, who declared this was "a honour and a big recognition" from the race organisers. The squad directed by Arrieta and Chente will check again the TTT route this evening, before the race started in just over 24 hours' time.
