Set to start their Mallorca Challenge on Friday

Movistar Team's big leaders profit from early arrival before 2017 debut to meet instructors and young hopefuls at Manacor's centre, built under the name of the big legend of Spanish sport

Coming directly from their morning training, Movistar Team riders Alejandro Valverde, Andrey Amador and Nairo Quintana took advantage from their first day in Mallorca – they will be racing some of the Challenge's trophies this weekend – to visit, alongside the Blues' general manager Eusebio Unzué, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar situada in Manacor, hometown of Spain's best-ever tennis player.

As well as discovering the secrets of the center, the four members from the telephone squad dared to take on some rallies against the young hopefuls currently being instructed at the center. Some fun times prior before the Movistar Team's big stars debut in the Challenge, Dayer Quintana (40th) having claimed the Spanish squad's best result at the opener on Thursday (Porreres – Felanitx – Ses Salines – Campos, 161.8km) behind a dominant André Greipel (LTS; full results here).
