Renowned Portuguese TT specialist - with seven years of WorldTour experience - and Spanish youngsters to remain with Unzué's squad beyond the 2017 season
Movistar Team announces on Friday that Jorge Arcas (ESP, 1992), Nelson Oliveira(POR, 1989) and Antonio Pedrero (ESP, 1991) have all signed new contracts that will see them making part of the Spanish outfit beyond the 2017 season.
Oliveira, who will start his 9th pro season in 2018 despite being just 28 years old, has offered notable performances during his initial two-year term in Blue, both as a time trialist -national champion, 8th in the Rio Olympics, 4th at last year's European championships- and as a valuable domestique.
In turn, Por su parte, Arcas and Pedrero's new contracts are a reward to the progression of two talented, committed youngsters. Jorge has proven to be an excellent rouleur, with climbing abilities and decent TT skills, while Antonio's recent WorldTour appearances, most notably at the Tour de Suisse, have confirmed his fine climbing abilities.
Confidence on Pedrero, Oliveira and Arcas is further reaffirmed by the fact that all three are into the 12-man shortlist for the Vuelta a España which the Movistar Team announced on Wednesday.
