Spanish youngster Rosón signs with Movistar Team

Second signing for 2018

24-year-old climber from Zamora, one of the biggest hopefuls in the country, to wear the green 'M' through the end of the 2019 season

Spanish rider Jaime Rosón (24) will become a Movistar Team member on January 1st, 2018. Rosón, who has signed a two-year term with the Blues, comes from ProContinental squad Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, which saw him covering his two first full seasons as pro.

A brilliant climber, the youngster from Zamora in the region of Castilla y León has done a superb 2017 season, with top performances in one-week races like the Settimana Coppi e Bartali (3rd), his home Vuelta CyL (2nd) or the Tour of Croatia, where he won the Queen stage and came second overall to Vincenzo Nibali only on the final day of racing.

Rosón had already won the Queen stage of the Tour of Turkey in 2016 -2nd in the GC-, confirming a great progression from an outstanding under-23 stage. In 2015, Rosón won Spain's three most prestigious contests for amateur: the National road race Championships, the Memorial Valenciaga and the multi-classic Spanish Cup.
