BinckBank Tour (st. 1)

Sütterlin takes 18th in Venray, finishes as best from Movistar Team in BinckBank Tour's opening sprint, prelude to crucial 9km TT in Breda on Tuesday

Just few milimeters separated stage winner Peter Sagan (BOH) from second-placed Phil Bauhaus (SUN) for the first green, leader's jersey in the BinckBank Tour, after an otherwise calm 168km stage one from Breda y Venray, in the Dutch Brabant, which the eight Movistar Team riders directed by José Luis Jaimerena and José Luis Laguía covered without any incidents.

Seeking for a late start with all time references at Tuesday's ITT in Voorburg, Jasha Sütterlin got into the final sprint and took 18th place. In turn, the Blues' other main hopeful for tomorrow, Alex Dowsett, crossed the line at the back of the group, trying to avoid rain forecast for the second half of tomorrow's contest.

— TT start times (local, unless mentioned): 13.30 (12.30pm UK) Alex Dowsett, 13.35 (6.35am COL) Dayer Quintana, 13.44 (6.44am COL), Winner Anacona, 14.22 Imanol Erviti, 14.30 Rory Sutherland, 14.52 Gorka Izagirre, 15.23 (14.23 POR) Nuno Bico, 16.03 Jasha Sütterlin.
