Spaniard stays strong in Italy

Youngster from Movistar Team really active on the attacks inside the final lap around San Baronto ascent. Arcas 17th at finish.

Matej Mohoric (TBM) showed his bike handling skills with a strong final downhill to victory in the 2018 GP Larciano (199km) in Italy, including a final loop with four ascents of the San Baronto climb. The Slovenian rider won solo in front of a group of favourites which always prominently featured Movistar Team youngster Jaime Rosón.

The rider from Zamora responded strong to the attacks inside the last ascent to Fornello, making part of an eight-rider selection which later regrouped to around thirty riders in pursuit of Mohoric. Also featuring for the Blues inside that peloton was Jorge Arcas, the team’s best performer at the finish (17th, +11″).
