Vice German ITT champion finishes 28" behind Stefan Küng (BMC) at BinckBank Tour's 12km stage two time trial in Venray, first key point of weekend-centric event.

Swiss champion Stefan Küng (BMC) took a convincing win at Tuesday’s individual time trial stage two of the 2018 BinckBank Tour, over a 12.7km course in Venray (NED) where Jasha Sütterlin was the man in charge of leading the Movistar Team’s performance.

Back to racing at this WorldTour event after his silver medal in the German ITT Championships back in June, the Freiburg native clocked a time of 14’39”, twenty-eight seconds behind the winner, which puts him 14th in the overall classification.

Sütterlin will now have to keep extra attention at the three flat stages coming up from Wednesday -166km between Aalter and Antwerpen- to Friday, prior to a decisive weekend that includes plenty of Limburg hills (Saturday) and several cobbled climbs in Flanders (Sunday).
