Ackermann (BOH) wins bunch sprint after tough race under monsoon; Blues -led by Sütterlin (20th)- make their way through the storm with no time lost.
The rain was the sole, indisputable protagonist on stage two of the 2018 Tour of Guangxi -147km between Beihai and Qinzhou-. The Movistar Team battled its way through any incidents in an otherwise flat course, led the whole day by a five-man breakaway whose last survivor -Frenchman Rémi Cavagna (QST)- was caught with just over 4km from the finish.

Pascal Ackermann (BOH) won a bunch sprint which the Movistar Team riders couldn’t access this time, with Jasha Sütterlin -focused on staying off trouble and near the front- as top performer in 20th place. The Blues will reach Nanning, the province’s most populous city, on Thursday before the decisive, hill-top finish at Mashan Nongla on Friday.
