Fully conscious about the privilege it represents to carry out their pro activity into such a challenging health situation, the Movistar Team take the curtains of their fourty-second season up this week (Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th February) with the 6th Tour de La Provence (UCI ProSeries), a four-day event in southern France that will mark the first event in three months for the men’s squad managed by Eusebio Unzué.

Three riders from the 2020 TDF / La Vuelta squad –Enric Mas, Carlos Verona and Imanol Erviti– will make their 2021 competitive debut as part of a seven-man roster also including Sergio Samitier, Lluís Mas, Matteo Jorgenson and one of this year’s additions to the Telefónica-backed squad: Puerto Rico’s Abner González.

The French event will be decided at the top of the Chalet Reynard -three quarters of the legendary Mont Ventoux climb-, end of stage three on Saturday 13th. Two sprinter-suited finishes and a lumpy circuit around Manosque (Friday 12th) complete the week’s program in Provence.
