Analysis

After a year’s painful, yet inevitable absence due to the constraints caused by the revamped calendar post-pandemic stop in 2020, the Movistar Team will be back at the start of the Ordizia classic, which opens a big block of Spanish events prior to the start of La Vuelta on August 14th.

The Prueba Villafranca’s route, identical to last year’s, covers 165km with five climbs to Abaltzisketa / Larraitz (3km at 7%) and two additional, final ascents to Altzo (2.5km at 6%). The last climb is crested with less than 10km to go.
