ABUS and Movistar Team extend partnership until 2025

A long-time, big support of the Telefónica-backed squad

The UCI WorldTeam and ABUS have been working together since 2017. Three more years will now be added to the six successful seasons. From 2023 to 2025, ABUS will remain the official helmet and security partner for the men's and women's Movistar Team, as well as the Movistar eTeam.

ABUS has contributed to the numerous successes of Movistar Team riders with its flagship products, such as the GameChanger aero helmet and the AirBreaker road helmet. Winning the 2018 World Championship, the overall success in the 2019 Giro d’Italia or, most recently, notching up the Giro d’Italia Donne and the Tour de France Femmes are just some of the highlights that connect ABUS and the Movistar Team. Stage wins and winning the team classification at all three Grand Tours are just as much part of the success story as victories in major classics.

Such results are based in the joint product development. The feedback from the pros has been incorporated into all high-end helmets from ABUS. Since the beginning of the partnership, six models have already been created. The latest developments in the product offensive include the two time-trial editions of the ABUS GameChanger, the GameChanger TT and TRI, as well as the ABUS PowerDome, which will become available in a few weeks.

The ABUS developers are already working on the helmet innovations for the next three years with the performance experts from the Movistar Team. Further joint models will be presented as early as next year.

In addition to developing high-performance helmets, ABUS aims to increase international brand awareness with this partnership. With success, because the media presence of the team with its international riders and at worldwide races contribute to the fact that ABUS has established itself as a top helmet brand in relevant markets.
