The largest country in Oceania will host the riders of the Telefónica squad for three weeks, as Movistar Team will, for the first time, compete in four events there. The first of these is the Critérium Villawood Men’s Classic (Saturday, January 18th), featuring riders Carlos Canal, Gregor Mühlberger, Javier Romo, Mathias Norsgaard, Manlio Moro and newcomers with the M, Diego Pescador and Natnael Tesfatsion.

In 2025, the final year of the qualification triennium, the Movistar Team men’s calendar will have over 100 races and nearly 300 days of competition, including the respective national, European, and world championships.

Notable highlights include a return to Oman with participation in two events, a journey through Brittany in May, a new classic in Andorra, and a race in the Terres de l’Ebre. Germany, Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, the UAE, Spain, France, Italy, Oman, the Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland—along with the National Championships—will see Movistar Team competing in over 20 countries.

The women’s team will make its racing debut on January 25 in Mallorca and, as a new addition, will conclude the season in China. They will participate in nearly 50 events, including national, European, and world championships, accumulating over 130 days of competition across 14 countries. These include Germany, Belgium, China, the UAE, Spain, France, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Thus, the men’s and women’s Movistar Team will wrap up the season at the end of October, having competed in more than 150 events and logged nearly 425 days of racing.
