Movistar Team held a special event today in Madrid dedicated to promoting the visibility of women’s sport, bringing together media representatives, industry figures, and members of the cycling community for a social gathering.

The event began at Espacio Movistar (Gran Vía) with a brief presentation of the campaign the team will officially launch on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. Afterwards, journalist Mónica Marchante and rider Paula Ostiz engaged in an open conversation about the role of female role models in sport and the importance of inspiring others beyond results.

Following this first part, the day continued at Casa de Campo with a social ride involving team members, media, and members of the cycling community. The ride became the true heart of the event: a space to ride together, share kilometers, and reinforce the message that sport is also built through community.
The initiative also featured the active collaboration of team sponsors such as Canyon, ISDIN, BORN, 226ERS, and Gobik, who supported the event and helped make possible an experience aligned with the values of effort, care, and teamwork that define cycling.

The day concluded with an informal breakfast, providing an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the team, the media, and attendees, consolidating a meeting space beyond competition.
Movistar Team will continue developing initiatives aimed at fostering the growth and visibility of its women’s team, convinced that sport is not only competed — it is also shared.
More information about the campaign presented during the event will be provided on March 8.
