Analysis

The eventful 2020 season takes its curtains down with the final event of the UCI Women’s WorldTour, the evolution of a Madrid Challenge which will be leaving its original home region to enter Castilla – La Mancha, where the riders will cover the first of its -another new feature- three stages.

It will be a race for sprinters and strong rouleurs in Spain, with an opening day on rolling roads full of little lumps -the most demanding, at Erustes, over 3km at 4%- and, on top of that, a tough finish at 7% in Escalona (83km, Friday 6th).

The two remaining stages are well known by everyone who’s followed this race in previous years: a fast 9km ITT in and around Boadilla del Monte (Saturday 7th) and the 17 laps of the circuit around Madrid‘s most famous avenues (100km, Sunday 8th).
