Analysis

Two weeks after their 2023 debut in Almería, the Movistar Team is back to this south-eastern Spanish province (almost to the exact same roads) for the very first edition of the women’s Clásica de Almería, a day before the men’s event.

Despite being conceived as a race for sprinters, the 137km course will include just over 1,600m elevation gain. It will be less of a coastal parcours than the one from the guys, with Costa Blanca (Cat-3) and Sorbas (Cat-3) as main difficulties and, once back to the sea, a finish in Vera over a slight, steady uphill section.
