Bretagne Classic - Plouay
248.1 Kilometers
For the last few years, the Bretagne Classic in Plouay is not restricted to the famous Worlds course from the 2000 season at the town which gives name to the race, rather than covering many other parts of Brittany -even touching coastal roads-, its route adding small climbs and wind gusts to its lumpy roads.
It’s a 248km course, out and back, with around a dozen little climbs and even two small gravel sections, called ‘ribins’ -about 60km from the finish line- before heading into the decisive circuit.
At the final loop, and with the race probably split into many pieces, the riders will tackle the Côte du Moulin (-12km), the slope of Bois de Kerlucas (-11km) and the consecutive, decisive ascents to Minojenn du Calvaire and Ty-Marrec, the latter crested just 3.6km from the slightly uphill finish.
