Analysis

Under the humble name of ‘Copa de España Féminas Ciudad de Dos Hermanas’ hides a big effort from the modest Seville club Peña Ciclista Gómez del Moral to put forward a new race in the Spanish women’s calendar. It marks the fourth of seven events in the Spanish Racing Series, the penultimate of a spring tournée which will come to its end a weekend later at the more traditional Balmasedako Emakumeen Saria, in the Basque Country.

The elite / under-23 race is a 9.4km semi-urban circuit, encircling the northern side of Dos Hermanas and entering the locality of Montequinto. Two little climbs at 3% approx., located just in the beginning of the circuit and 3km before the end, are the most demanding points of a course open for sprinters or attackers alike.
