Prueba Villafranca - Ordiziako Klasika
165.7 Kilometers
Ordizia, the longest-standing (96 editions) event in the Spanish calendar, opens, on Thursday 25th July, the ‘final stretch’ of the season in our country, as well as ten days full of races which include the new Clásicas de Navarra for women (July 30th + August 1st), the Circuito de Getxo (31) and the Clásica de San Sebastián (3).
There’s absolutely no change on the route of a very recognisable race, 165km which feature five climbs to Abaltzisketa -the final one, just 10km from the finish- and another two to Altzo, combined in the finale with the main ascent. It’s a good terrain for a solo climber to succeed, though the most common scenario is a reduced field tackling the uphill sprint together.
