Trofeo Matteotti
195 Kilometers
The Italian one-day race ridden furthest south every season -it’s held in Pescara, in the Abruzzo region- returns with a route entirely the same as in 2018, in what will be the final rehearsal for those riders who travel to Yorkshire for the Worlds’ road race on Sunday 29th.
It’s a 13-lap, 15-kilometer circuit -for a total 195km- with an up-and-down parcours, covering the slopes of the Largo Madonna dei Sette Dolori inside the city before the small hills of Colle Scorrano and Montesilvano. The latter, with a difficult descent afterwards, is crested 6km from the finish line.
