Analysis

cross-border stagerace, with really high speeds and less than 1,000 meters of elevation gain in total in its four-day, five-stage parcours. The race formerly known as BeNe Ladies Tour will be the last event for the Movistar Team before the Olympic Games, in a stark contrast -technical, flat courses, with three expected sprint finishes- with the demanding slopes of the final days in the Giro Donne.

Together with those bunch kicks -in Eeklo (Friday 9th), the first sector on Saturday 10th in Knokke-Heist and the final day around Zulte (Sunday 11th)-, two time trials will be covered, which together with bonus seconds and some splits due to wind or indesirable incidents, will decide the GC outcome: a 4km prologue in Utrecht, on Thursday 8th, and the second sector of day three in Knokke, almost 12 kilometers long.
