Dwars door de Westhoek
125.3 Kilometers
Part of the Lotto Cycling Cup, which gathers together the main Belgian one-day events not part of either the WWT or Flanders Classics, Dwars door de Westhoek will be the sprinters’ chance they might not have enjoyed at Hageland the day prior. This is also the last Movistar Team event before a short stop prior to the National Championships – and another Belgian tournée, with two stageraces, at the same time La Course and the Giro Donne are held.
The 125km course around Boezinge comprise a hillier first loop, with three climbs of the Rodeberg (1km at 4%), and three final laps of a semi-urban 12km circuit, completely flat, with some long straights -watch for the wind and the usual Belgian road furniture- which should help the sprinters’ teams set up the bunch sprint.
