It’s inevitable to mention Annemiek van Vleuten’s brilliant victory in 2022, which will remain forever in the Movistar Team palmarès.

Analysis

Bringing back the best memories. A victory like the one Annemiek van Vleuten achieved at the 2022 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, climbing the last two ascents at an incredible pace and showing immense sacrifice all the way to the line, is one you can’t easily forget. The Movistar Team will seek, with the World Champion and her team-mates, to close out the spring classics campaign on the highest note.

There’s a series of important changes to this year’s route. The first one sees the women finally tackling Wanne, Stockeu and Haute-Levée consecutively on the same race, starting with 82km to go. Contrary to the men, who climb Desnié, the women will go to the Côte de Maquisard (-45km) after the long Rosier. And between the trascendental La Redoute (-34km) and Roche-aux-Faucons (-13km), the Côte des Forges, short -just over 1km at almost 8%- yet located with 23km to go, could be decisive.
