Flèche Wallonne
146 Kilometers
Eurosport broadcasts the race after the men’s, with the world feed starting at 1655 CEST.
It’s a series of comebacks in the spring for the Movistar Team, the first of which will see Claire Steels returning to racing almost ten weeks after her double vertebra fracture into separate crashes at the UAE Tour. The Englishwoman enters a Flèche Wallonne quite different from previous years’, over a faster course that will also be held on an evening schedule, after the men’s event.
The tough Côte de Cherave won’t be tackled this year, with the final loop now comprising two ascents of the Côte d’Ereffe (2.1km at 5%), a slope after its summit and the downhill towards Huy to tackle the two climbs of the legendary Mur. 1.3km at 9.6%, with a maximum around 20%, suited only to the best climbers in the peloton.
