It came in Willunga, venue of the queen stage on day 5; with no pure sprinters ahead after a crazy ascent towards the Willungs Hill, Rojas and Ventoso, two of the strongest hill sprinters, decided to search for victory for the team with one sprinting at each side of the road. The gamble was right as Fran came in winning style across the finish while José Joaquín claimed 4th. Between the two, eight victories and many top finishes were reached in a successful 2011.
