Remain as race clothing partner in 2017

Scottish brand to keep supplying the riders in the UCI WorldTour's top-ranked team next season, following three years of excellent cooperation where the Blues have won two Grand Tours, set one Hour Record and claimed 98 victories, with innovation and care to the cyclist as main goals

Endura is delighted to announce that its hugely successful partnership with La Vuelta-winning Movistar Team will continue for 2017.

The Scottish clothing brand, whose partnership with the world’s number one ranked professional cycling team has yielded nearly 100 victories in just three years, will again supply Nairo Quintana, Alejandro Valverde, Alex Dowsett and more of the world’s top professional cyclists.

Quintana’s recent triumph at La Vuelta a España is his second Grand Tour victory after winning the Giro d’Italia in 2014. The Colombian achieved both victories in Endura clothing.

Endura’s founder and managing director Jim McFarlane offered his congratulations to Quintana and Movistar Team on another great victory – the 98th win achieved since their partnership began in 2014, "On behalf of everyone at Endura, I'd like to congratulate Nairo and Movistar Team on a special victory at La Vuelta. Areas throughout the company and collaborators such as Simon Smart at Drag2Zero, have worked tirelessly to bring important innovations to the kit that we make for the team in Scotland and by further extending our partnership with Abarca Sports we look forward to the demands of the UCI WorldTour's leading team and riders driving Endura forward too".

The success of Endura’s partnership with Movistar is not limited to the stars of cycling’s elite UCI WorldTour, however. The partnership has made a direct impact on the development of Endura’s product range.

Endura’s work with aerodynamicist Simon Smart at the Drag2Zero facility in the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 wind tunnel in Brackley, Northamptonshire, has paid dividends in time-trials. Movistar Team riders are currently champions of Spain, Portugal and Great Britain. Next year, Endura will launch a new aero collection offering the same garment technology to the public.

Endura’s flagship Pro SL® road range, which includes the Classics Jersey and Lite SS Jersey, is another collection that benefits from insights from Movistar Team. The Pro SL® Bibshort, with its revolutionary 700-series pad, available in a choice of three widths, is a clear favourite with the riders.

Movistar Team’s clothing is made in the custom clothing department at Endura’s headquarters in Livingston, near Edinburgh. The same people, using the same processes, materials and designs, make garments for the hundreds of amateur clubs and teams who choose Endura as their kit supplier.

Endura’s continued support for Movistar Team will continue the brand’s investment in bleeding edge garment technologies produced in Scotland.
