Andrey Amador leads Movistar Team at closing event of the year for the Blues (Thursday 20-Sunday 23), preceeded by the #UCICyclingGala on Tuesday - where the squad will receive their fourth consecutive WorldTour winners' title
The longest season ever for the Movistar Team comes to an end this week. 2016 takes its curtains down for the Blues with the 2nd Abu Dhabi Tour, a four-day stagerace on Thursday to Sunday with three sprinter-suited stages combined with a climbers' finish atop Jebel Hafeet on Saturday 22nd. Eusebio Unzué and Chente García Acosta will command a six-man group formed by Andrey Amador, Winner Anacona, Dayer Quintana, Carlos Betancur, Juanjo Lobato and Fran Ventoso, the latter two bidding farewell to the telephone squad after the Emirati race.
Before the race organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and RCS Sport starts, on Tuesday evening, the Movistar Team will be part of the second #UCICyclingGala. The Blues will receive their fourth consecutive UCI WorldTour team ranking winners' prize, as they also collect Nairo Quintana's individual second place, behind Peter Sagan (TNK), in the world ranking.
