All ten riders of Jorge Sanz-directed squad to finetune their form from Thursday to Wednesday 21st before official debut in Setmana Valenciana.
The entirety of the Movistar women’s team set to fulfil its first-ever season in 2018 got together in Calpe (Costa Blanca, Alicante, Spain) on Thursday to start a seven-day training camp, attended by the ten riders Jorge Sanz will manage during the imminent racing calendar.
Lourdes Oyarbide, Aude Biannic, Alba Teruel, Rachel Neylan, Gloria Rodríguez, Eider Merino, Mavi García, Alicia González, Małgorzata Jasińska and Lorena Llamas will be covering a series of training rides and tests coordinated by team staff, as well as holding meetings to better organize on technical and organisational aspects and responding to requests from some of their sponsors -identical to the men’s team’s-.
Early next week, the Movistar Team will unveil their six-woman lineup for the 2nd Setmana Ciclista Valenciana (Thursday 22nd – Sunday 25th), a UCI 2.2 race that will mark the start of a new story in the women’s peloton for the Blues.
