2018 'Corsa Rosa' departs in two days' time

Telefónica-backed squad staying in Jerusalem since Tuesday; counting the hours for Giro d'Italia's 10km TT opener in Jerusalem on Friday.

The whole Movistar Team taking part in the 2018 Giro d’Italia landed in Israel on Tuesday, ready to take part in the opening three stages of the maiden Grand Tour of the season.

The squad directed in the ‘Corsa Rosa’ by Chente García Acosta and Pablo Lastras completed their first training ride on Wednesday, a calm spin just over two hours in length, under hot temperatures exceeding 35ºC.

The Blues will be presented on Thursday (5.00-6.30pm CEST), together with all other 21 squads present in the race, at the Safra Square, next to Jerusalem’s city council.
