Close to victory atop Cadoudal

Polish rider from Movistar Team finished behind Moolman (CBT) in Brittany; claims top result in her 2018 season to claim three podiums in as many races for the Blues in France and Spain.

Following Alicia González’s 3rd place in Morbihan and Alba Teruel’s victory at the final round of the Spanish Series in EgüésMałgorzata Jasińska rounded off one of the Movistar Team’s most successful weekends to date with a 2nd spot in the GP Plumelec (UCI WE 1.1), held on Saturday over 108km and ten laps around the Côte de Cadoudal.

The race, led early by a three-woman break including Le Net, Galland (BZL) and Gérault (FRA) -all caught with 25km remaining-, rode strung out and with plenty of attacks on the final, shorter loop, yet not splitting and ending up with an uphill finish. Ashleigh Moolman (CBT) bested ‘Jasi’ (2nd) and Santesteban (ALE, 3rd) for the victory, with 2016 victor Rachel Neylan in 13th.

Fourth at Tuesday’s decisive stage in the Bira -where she finished 10th overall-, Jasińska notched up today her best result with the Movistar Team, the Blues now up to 15 podiums this season, including five on UCI races.
