French road race champion claims biggest WWT stagerace result in her career after finishing inside main group in Halden, where Vos (WAD) took all honours. Oyarbide, Neylan on the attack before final circuit.

It was an authoritarian success for former multiple world champion Marianne Vos (WAD) at the 2018 Ladies Tour of Norway, the Dutchwoman adding a third stage victory and the GC triumph -following a very long final stage from Svinesund to Halden- to the two wins achieved on Friday and Saturday.

The Movistar Team was on the move again today from start to finish, a long, early move by Lourdes Oyarbide -caught with 60km to go- followed by several attempts from Rachel Neylan, also neutralized before the decisive loop. At the technical final circuit, Mavi García, Alicia González and Malgorzata Jasinska rode always looking after Aude Biannic, who didn’t suffer any troubles to stay within the front group and confirm her excellent 6th place in the GC, 46″ behind Vos.

The squad directed by Jorge Sanz -which will travel to the Veenendaal – Veenendaal Classic on Wednesday- bids farewell to its Scandinavian tour with yet another overall good showing, also taking second places in the QOM (García) and team classifications.
