Movistar Team's two big leaders already looking forward to decisive, demanding Antenas del Maigmó after dangerous, crash-marred stage two finish, won by Jakobsen (QST).

It was a trouble-free ride for Belgian Remco Evenepoel (QST) to retain his yellow leader’s jersey at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, which witnessed its first bunch sprint finish at the end of the 171km stage two, between Bétera and Torrent.

Fabio Jakobsen (QST) clearly won ahead of Sebastián Molano (UAD) and Elia Viviani (IGD) at a finish where the Movistar Team riders had no setbacks. The Telefónica-backed squad, down to five riders as Rubio and Hollmann were unable to start, perfectly covered with Elosegui, Arcas and Mühlberger the back of their two leaders, Enric Mas and Alejandro Valverde.

Staying close to the front, next to the sprinters in the main group -affected by several crashes, which the Blues were able to avoid-, Enric and ‘Bala’ now seat, due to position countback, as fifth and sixth overall, still 42″ down on the leader.
