The Movistar Team will rely on one further ally for its preparations before the Tour de France. Through a new partnership with Glucovibes, the Blue squad will be able to combine information from their riders’ training, each of them’s individual nutrition and other parameters. Added to that, they will be able to continuously monitor their glucose levels through the bio-sensors provided by the brand.

The analysis of all those values through Glucovibes’ precision nutrition service allows the Movistar Team’s performance group to individually take care of each rider’s training performance and set up tailor-made nutrition programs. Those precise guidelines stem from Glucovibes’ algorithms and the work between the Blues’ performance staff and the sports scientists from Glucovibes, looking for both performance improvements over the riders’ physical activity and better recovery at their rest periods.

Glucovibes is a technology company based in San Sebastián, the Basque Country. Founded in 2021, it has developed the first ‘metabolic GPS’ in the market, able to gather together their devices’ data and all health parameters from a rider into a single app. The brand has a team of sports scientists at their helm, who use advanced algorithms to make a classification of metabolic profiles, which has allowed them to create the biggest metabolic database in Europe. They now have more than 15,000 days of continuous blood glucose level monitorisation, associated to nutrition registry, sports activity and rest.
