The trio will compete in the Trofeo Marratxí-Felanitx, the first of three races in Mallorca, marking their debut with the Spanish squad.
Movistar Team’s new signings, Marlen Reusser, Carys Lloyd, and Ana Victoria “Tota” Magalhães, are set to race for the first time in the team’s colors this weekend in Mallorca.
The riders recently concluded a training camp in Valencia, which served as an “excellent introduction to the team’s culture and values.” According to the experienced Reusser, the camp was “a fantastic opportunity to integrate into the team.”

For Lloyd, the 18-year-old from Great Britain, the camp was an eye-opening experience: “The professionalism and motivation of both the riders and staff are inspiring. Everyone is so welcoming, and I feel comfortable and happy here. The team has the perfect balance between being relaxed and professional, which motivates you to work hard.”

Magalhães, nicknamed Tota, also highlighted the warm and professional atmosphere of the team. Coming from a larger team than Lloyd’s club-level background, she appreciated Movistar’s approach: “I’m learning a lot from the team, and that makes it even more exciting to start the season. The training camp went super well—we did good blocks of training and testing, team building, discussed team roles and goals, and now we are ready to start racing.”

The action kicks off with the Trofeo Marratxí-Felanitx, part of a series of races on the Spanish island. Reusser, Lloyd, and Tota will line up for the first of three challenges, on January 25th, alongside Jelena Eric, Laura Ruiz, Lucía Ruiz, and Sara Martín.
Reusser noted that this will be her first race in a long time, having concluded her 2024 season at the Vuelta a Burgos in May. “It’s all about getting used to the new team and racing in general,” the Swiss cyclist said. “I lived in Mallorca for a few years, and it will be great to return to roads I know so well. Who knows, there might even be an opportunity for a result.”
On January 26th, Movistar Team continues the Mallorca Challenge with the Trofeo Palma Femenina. Tota Magalhães, Marlen Reusser, Claire Steels, Mareille Meijering, Floortje Mackaij, Sara Martin and Paula Patiño.
The final event in Mallorca is the Trofeo Binissalem-Andratx, where Marlen, Reusser, Claire Steels, Jelena Eric, Floortje Mackaij, Mareille Meijering, Paula Patiño and Sara Martin will take the start.
