The competitive season will get underway in the coming days for the entire Movistar Team women’s squad, which already has its first competitive commitments lined up both in the Southern Hemisphere and in Spain.

Of the 17 riders on the 2026 roster, six are currently in Australia to compete in the Tour Down Under (2.WWT), which will start on 17 January in Adelaide and will mark the team’s first competitive appearance of the new campaign.
The riders selected for the Australian tour are Olivia Baril, Carys Lloyd, Floortje Mackaij, Paula Ostiz, Lucía Ruiz and Claire Steels.
Meanwhile, the rest of the squad will begin their activity with a first Training Camp in Mallorca, running from 18 to 23 January. This training block will serve as a prelude to the Challenge de Mallorca Femenina, where the riders will open their European calendar with three days of racing on the Balearic island, from 24 to 26 January.
The riders selected for Mallorca are Francesca Barale, Aude Biannic, Cat Ferguson, Sheyla Gutiérrez, Liane Lippert, Tota Magalhaes, Sara Martín, Mareille Meijer, Marlen Reusser, Laura Ruiz and Arlenis Sierra.
In this way, the Movistar Team women’s squad begins the start of the season following a dual roadmap that combines competition and specific preparation, taking the first steps of what promises to be a demanding year from the very opening stages of the calendar.
