29 April 2026

The Movistar Team women’s squad has confirmed the roster that will compete in La Vuelta Femenina 2026, taking place from Sunday, May 3 to Saturday, May 9, over a demanding seven-stage route across northwestern Spain.

The team will line up Liane Lippert, Mareille Meijer, Arlenis Sierra, Tota Magalhães, Sara Martín, Lucía Ruiz, and Aude Biannic. A well-balanced squad combining experience and youth, with options to shine across different race scenarios.

A versatile squad for all terrains

Movistar Team approaches the race with a line-up ready to meet the varied demands of the course.

Experienced German rider Liane Lippert, with 13 career victories, will target stage wins in the Spanish race, having previously won stages at the Tour de France Femmes (2023) and the Giro d’Italia Women (2024 and 2025).

Cuban sprinter Arlenis Sierra, with 55 career victories, will look for her chances across the first five stages in Galicia and León.

Dutch rider Mareille Meijer, winner of the Vuelta a Extremadura 2024, will also aim for a strong overall classification result as well as stage-winning opportunities.

Alongside them, Tota Magalhães, Sara Martín, Lucía Ruiz, and Aude Biannic will play key roles in protecting the team and seizing their own opportunities.

A demanding route decided in the mountains

The 2026 edition features a total of 815 kilometers spread over seven stages. The race begins in Galicia, which hosts the first four stages, featuring rolling terrain and constant climbing, including routes between Marín, Salvaterra de Miño, Lobios, A Coruña, and Antas de Ulla.

After heading into Castilla y León for stage five (León–Astorga), the race will be decided in Asturias with two consecutive summit finishes: Les Praeres (stage 6), with extremely steep gradients, and the Alto de L’Angliru (stage 7), one of the toughest climbs in cycling, where the overall winner will be crowned.
