Movistar Team continues to invest in young talent with the signing of Alejandra Neira Domínguez, one of the most promising cyclists on the national scene, who will join the team from August 1, 2026, on a contract running until 2029.

Born in Santiago de Compostela on June 10, 2008, the Galician rider has stood out in the youth categories thanks to her consistency and competitive ability. After developing with Baqué Movistar Team during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Neira makes the definitive step up to the highest level within the Telefónica structure.
Her recent palmarès confirms her potential. In 2025, she became the Spanish junior time trial champion, claimed a stage victory at the Watersley Ladies Challenge, and was the best young rider at the Tour du Gévaudan Occitanie Femmes, in addition to achieving more than ten podium finishes. In 2026, she has confirmed her progression with victories and top results, such as a win at the Gran Premio Igartza, second place at the Clásica de Jaén Nation’s Cup Women, and runner-up overall in the EPZ Omloop van Borsele.
ALEJANDRA NEIRA:
“It is a huge honor to make the jump to Movistar Team, one of the most important structures in world cycling. I approach this new stage with great excitement and ambition to keep growing as a cyclist,” said Neira, who also wanted to highlight her father as her main inspiration: “I started cycling at the age of four thanks to my father at the Club Ciclista Compostelano. He passed away four years ago, but everything I have achieved has been thanks to him.”
With this signing, Movistar Team strengthens its strategy of developing young talent, bringing in a rider with great potential for growth and international projection.
