25 May 2026

Movistar Team has confirmed its roster for the 2026 Giro d’Italia Women, one of the marquee events on the UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar. The race will take place from May 30 to June 7 across nine stages in northern Italy.

Lineup: Marlen Reusser, Cat Ferguson, Arlenis Sierra, Mareille Meijer, Francesca Barale, Tota Magalhaes, Aude Biannic.

The 2026 edition will begin with a flat opening stage between Cesenatico and Ravenna on May 30, while the race will conclude on June 7 in Saluzzo. The demanding route includes an individual uphill time trial and several major mountain stages, with the iconic Colle delle Finestre expected to be one of the decisive climbs of the race.

The return of Marlen Reusser

A major storyline will be the return of Marlen Reusser to the Giro d’Italia Women after recovering from the injury she suffered at the Tour of Flanders. The Swiss rider returns to the Italian race following an outstanding 2025 campaign, where she finished second overall, won the opening time trial in Bergamo, and wore the maglia rosa.

The team also arrives with Cat Ferguson in excellent form. The British rider continues to establish herself among the leading talents in the international peloton after winning the Navarra Women’s Elite Classic on May 13, adding another prestigious victory to her 2026 season.

Alongside them, the experience of Mareille Meijer, Arlenis Sierra, and Aude Biannic, combined with the emerging talent of Francesca Barale and Tota Magalhaes, gives Movistar Team a balanced squad for the Corsa Rosa.

The 2026 Giro d’Italia Women is expected to be especially demanding, and Movistar Team will aim to fight once again for top general classification positions and stage victories.
