Analysis

The Movistar Team will be putting an end to their spring campaign with the second stagerace of their young history. The race which honours the memory of the first ever women’s road cycling world champion is a beautiful, three-day event in Luxembourg, which starts off with a short TT -barely 2.8 kilometers in Cessange (Friday 27th April), just outside the capital- and follows with two rolling, exciting stages around the Grand Duchy, with surely plenty of attacks.

Saturday’s stage one will see riders covering 98km around Steinfort, with six laps of a circuit including the hill of Koerich (300m at almost 8%) and a previous passage through Kopstal (1,400m, 7.8%). Sunday’s stage two (Sunday 29th), in turn, will be a 110km journey, starting and finishing in Garnich, with a climb just after the finish (1,200m, 4.3%) to try and avoid the sprint finish.
