Analysis

As it’s been custom for the past few years, the main feature in the Vårgårda WorldTour road race -141km with a long loop midway through the course, plus eight shorter laps in the beginning and finale of the race- are the four gravel sections, a combined 12.6 kilometers which also contain some of the most significant slopes in a long, yet orographically generous race.

Eklanda (3.6km with a sting at the tail), Skanterna (3.4km starting with a short hill), Kvinnestad (2.6km with a slight, final descent) y Landa (3km on flat roads) will spice up a race whose most demanding point will be the final climbs to the Hägrungabacken hill, 1 km around 4%. All of that, two days after an intense effort in the team time trial opening this long weekend’s action in western Sweden.
