Flèche Wallonne
118.5 Kilometers
It’s one of the most famous races of the now-defunct UCI World Cup, with more than twenty editions held -even if it remains a race with no live TV coverage in 2018-, and the Mur de Huy (1.3km at 9.6%) has always made it really tough, one race which only the absolute best in the peloton can aim for.
Also, though, the Flèche Wallonne has added a huge factor from the men’s race to its route in recent years, with a final circuit which comprises the last fifty kilometers and tends to split the peloton quite a lot before the last ascent. Ereffe (2.1km, 5%) and Cherave (1.3km, 8.1%) create a massive selection in the field through the final lap, which turns the uphill sprint into a very restricted one.
