Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria

With no Bira (defunct) and no Itzulia either -the Basque stagerace set to be held for the first time in 2022-, the Durango classic gains even more protagonism, also benefitting from the good participation in the Spanish tournée of May, just before the first time the Vuelta a Burgos is held as a WWT event. Eight of the nine teams in cycling’s top tier will be racing in Biscay.

The route remains almost intact from previous years: only the location for the start / finish has been replaced, ending in Urki, outside the town of Durango -for obvious reasons-. The 116km parcours includes five climbs of the gentle Miota, plus a difficult finish with two decisive climbs of Goiuria, the latter of which ends with 9km remaining.
