Clásica San Sebastián
139.8 Kilometers
The race will be streamed live on Eurosport Player and GCN, at 12pm CEST.
Two years after its first edition in 2019 -with a 6th spot for Lourdes Oyarbide on almost home roads-, the Clásica San Sebastián returns at no less than WWT level, prior to be replaced in 2022, barring any changes, by the new, three-day Itzulia Women, to be held in May.
The 140km course in the Gipuzkoa province in the Basque Country features four categorized climbs. The riders will have to cover the Alto de Aia (Cat-3, 26km) early on, followed by the non-rated Txipito, Gurutze and Gaintzurizketa, with about 70km left; and into the final one-and-a-half hours of racing, three decisive ascents: Jaizkibel (Cat-2; -50km), Gurutze (Cat-3, -31km) through its opposite side and, more importantly, Murgil (Cat-2; -8km), just over 2km with average slopes of 10%.
