Bastogne - Liège (140.9km)
25 April

Analysis

It’s one of the toughest races in the WWT, and also the end of a two-month campaign of one-day races for the women’s peloton, with only one stagerace in this period. The 5th edition of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège will be the biggest opportunity of the season for the best climbers to succeed at such an event.

The 140km ‘Doyenne’ features seven main climbs: Wanne (56km) and Haute-Levée (65km), as an early selection; Rosier (79km) and Desnié (92km), to continue making things hard for your rivals; and the race-defining La Redoute (105km) and Roche-aux-Faucons (127km), where the attacks for victory usually happen -the Côte des Forges (117km) is placed in between-. The last climb is just 13km away from a flat finish at Liège’s Quai des Ardennes.
