E3 Harelbeke Classic
203.9 Kilometers
A big portion of the race will be broadcast live, from 13.30-14.00 CET approx., on Eurosport and GCN.
Long considered the big, final rehearsal for the Tour of Flanders, the E3 Harelbeke classic offers again a quintessentially Belgian course on its 203km route for 2022, with seventeen ascents and ten cobbled sectors where the big protagonists of ‘De Ronde’ will fight for a famous victory, made more prestigious in the WorldTour era.
The Taaienberg (125km), always steep and rough and made harder by a wind-exposed area right afterwards; the Eikenberg (143km), more than a kilometer of cobblestones; and, most importantly, the quick succession of Paterberg (162km) and Oude Kwaremont (167km), in reverse order from the next week’s race, are the key points of the race, those that offer the clearest chance of attack before the final 20km flat.
